Summer in Lyon, France

This past summer we traveled to Lyon, France which is located in the Rhône-Alpes region of France. Lyon is a magnificent city with insanely nice people. The people in Lyon are mostly locals that want to live peacefully. Lyon is a quiet city by day and by night Lyon is like a party.

When we went to Lyon, we stayed in an apartment. The apartment had bars and restaurants behind it and at night we would hear the people talk and hang out there.

France is known for its national soccer team and during the time we were at Lyon they played in the World Cup and later they won. It was really cool to see the French people so excited and anxious over the soccer game. Most of them were locals, so it was really cool to see them enjoy a sport so much, as my family equally enjoys.

Lyon has many places to visit including La Croix-Rousse, Basilica of Notre-Dame de Fourvière, Vieux Lyon and many more. Even tough my family doesn't fully speak French, the people were super friendly and helped us out. It was one of my favorite places to visit and would definitely like to visit Lyon again.

We stayed in Lyon for about a week, because we wanted to have one week of rest while we were on our summer Europe trip. In Lyon there are many stores and places to shop for clothes. French food in Lyon is delicious because it is made by the locals who have been making the same food for a while.

Lyon is cold during the winter and very hot in the summer, so make sure to come prepared. In Lyon you will find fewer tourists and lots of locals. I recommend going to Lyon if you haven't already.
